DESCRIPTION:This is going to be great! \nFrom Brigid’s bio\n‘One time I was a musical guest on “A Prairie Home Companion.” Garrison Keillor said my name\, like\, 15 times\, and it was like a weird dream. Another time — actually several times — I played accordion and musical saw and sung harmony with Elvis Costello and the Imposters. One time\, me and Elvis and Jim James all sang a Bob Dylan tune together. How’s that for name-dropping?\nLots of other times\, I’ve driven in tour vans around various countries with dear friends playing house concerts\, dirty pubs\, folk clubs\, and various and sundry other venues\, all for the entertainment of others. Because that’s what I like to do — make people smile by singing funny songs. Occasionally\, I’ll sing a sad song\, but not because I like to make people cry\, but just to balance things out. Balance is everything\, right?\nA former ex-pat (Scotland)\, current Kentuckian\, I will do pretty much anything for a trip to Europe.\nI play a lot of different instruments\, and I write a lot of different things. Let’s be friends.’ \n\nand from Steve’s\nSteve Cooley has been a fixture on the bluegrass scene since the 1970s. He has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry\, Hee Haw\, Nashville Now and Good Morning America. He has performed for five US Presidents and the Prince of Wales and has worked with such notables as Bill Monroe\, Jean Ritchie\, Hazel Dickens\, Vassar Clements\, Jerry Reed\, Mac Wiseman\, Rose Maddox\, Michael Cleveland\, as Art Stamper. He toured extensively in North America\, Western Europe and Japan with such well-known bands as the Dillards\, Bluegrass Alliance\, the Cumberlands\, the Goins Brothers\, the Katie Laur Band. Several recordings that Steve has appeared on were nominated for Grammy Awards; he was twice featured as a soloist with the Louisville Orchestra and also been a featured soloist with orchestras in France and Spain. \nA Kentucky native\, Steve plays mostly with the Louisville area band\, Hog Operation\, and teaches both privately and at the Louisville School of Folk Music. He lives on a houseboat on the banks of the Ohio River. \nI have warned them that Prince Charles isn’t a regular!
